Full Week of Advocacy Opportunitites!

Here’s your TLDR summary of all of this week’s Advocacy Action Alerts!
*but we still recommend you read our entire email so you don’t miss any important details! 🙂
It’s a massive week for advocacy at the Capitol, and we want to make sure you get all of the details you need! March 12th is the day to show up, and we’re showing up in force to advocate for a safer, more equitable Minnesota. This week, we’ll be joining our partners for Protect MN’s Advocacy Days, and the Minnesota ERA Lobby Day to demand gun violence prevention and gender equality.
To keep the advocacy momentum going, we’re hosting our Social Action Film Series, featuring a screening of Never Rarely Sometimes Always, then writing thank you postcards to abortion providers and crafting posters for the UnRestrict MN Reproductive Freedom Lobby Day. This opportunity is open to everyone. Even if you can’t make the screening, we want to see you on the Hill! We’re providing free bussing to the Reproductive Freedom Lobby Day to ensure our voices are heard loud and clear. Whether you join us for the film, the bus ride, or both, let’s show the Capitol what NCJW|MN is made of! Read on for more details!

Come watch “Never Rarely Sometimes Always“, a powerful film that illuminates the challenges and struggles connected with abortion access while celebrating friendship and sisterhood.
After the film, we’ll make posters for the Reproductive Lobby Day on March 23rd, at the Capitol, and write postcards that support abortion providers.
This is a chance to connect and build community with others who deeply care about reproductive justice as we prepare to stand together at the State Capitol.
Come as you are, bring a friend, and be a part of the action. Snacks provided!
Sunday March 15th 12-3pm

We want you at the Capitol! We’ve arranged for a free round trip bus to ensure our community shows up in full force for the UnRestrict MN Reproductive Freedom Lobby Day on Monday, March 23. Busses will be picking up advocates from two convenient locations at two different times:
Minneapolis JCC (Sabes Center) or St Paul JCC (Capp Center)
9:45 AM (for a full day of lobbying) or at 12:45 PM (for the Rotunda Rally)
all busses will depart back to the pick up locations at 3:30 PM.
This opportunity is open to everyone. Even if you are unable to join us for the Social Action Film series event, we would love to have you on the bus! To participate in the full day of training and scheduled legislator meetings, we highly suggest registering directly with UnRestrict MN in addition to singing up for a bus ride to the Capitol. However, if you can only join for a portion of the day, you are more than welcome to “come as you are” and ride with us to the Capitol for the Rotunda Rally that starts at 1:30 PM.
Click on the button below for more information and details on signing up for the bus!

War impacts women and girls in distinct ways, economically, physically, and emotionally, yet women remain vastly underrepresented in decision making about security, policy, and future. Join Israeli feminist organizations for an emergency briefing this Wednesday, March 11th at 12 PM with leaders and funders from across Israel’s feminist civil society as we unpack the urgent challenges for women emerging from the current conflict with Iran. During the call, you’ll hear about a road-map developed by more than 30 organizations through NCJW’s Connecting for Impact initiative, outlining pathways to ensure women will be equal partners in shaping Israel’s future.
Save the date for our spring event!

They say democracy is noun, but at NCJW|MN we know it’s actually a verb. It’s something we do, something we build, and something we protect together.
We are thrilled to invite you to our upcoming Spring Breakfast Fundraiser: Democracy is a verb – when women lead, communities thrive.
When women lead, the results aren’t just seen in the boardroom or ballot boxes, they are felt in the well-being of our families, the strength in our schools, and the vibrancy of our neighborhoods. Come for breakfast, be in community, and discover how our collective action creates lasting change and helps our community reach its full potential.
Save the date for a morning of purpose, passion, and great coffee.
Tuesday May 12th
8-9:30 AM – Doors open at 7:30 AM
Glass House, Minneapolis
Registration opening soon!

Minnesota is a state defined by fairness and autonomy, and we have a historic opportunity to cement those values into our constitution through the Minnesota Equal Rights Amendment (ERA). Supported by a powerful, multi-racial coalition spanning reproductive freedom, immigrant rights, and LGBTQ+justice, the ERA will guarantee fundamental protections for every Minnesotan, now and for the future. We’re taking this fight to the heart of our state, and we want you there with us. Join the movement at the Rally for the Minnesota ERA on
Thursday March 12, at 10am in the State Capitol Rotunda.
Lets show the world exactly what Minnesota stands for.

After an intense week of hearings at the Capitol, it’s time to turn our momentum into collective action during our 2026 Advocacy Days on March 12-13. We’re joining forces with the broader gun violence prevention coalition for a powerful lineup at the State Capitol, featuring the “Protect our Schools” rally (Thursday, 9 AM), and ERA Rally (Thursday, 10AM), and a major GVP Coalition Rally (Friday, 9 AM). Between rallies and throughout the rest of the day, we’ll be holding constituent meetings with legislators and wrapping up Friday evening with a special screening of the documentary Death by Numbers. This is your final opportunity to RSVP so we can secure your legislative meetings and show our leaders the strength of our numbers!
We know these are impossibly heavy and uncertain times. May we draw strength from one another and find healing through connection and action. As our tradition teaches, caring for each other is how we endure, and how we move forward together.
