NCJW|MN upcoming events

NCJW Minnesota Logo

This Passover, we’re reaching out to ask every NCJW leader to do two things:

– Take action. Tell your Senators to oppose the SAVE Act — a voter suppression bill that would disenfranchise millions of eligible Americans.

– Protect your neighbors from ICE. Attend an upcoming immigrant rights training from Jews for Freedom (stay tuned for more info). Lawyers: sign up to provide pro bono services for refugees and asylum seekers.

Bring these actions to your seder table. Invite others in. This Passover, we show up.

Register for our spring event!

They say democracy is a noun, but at NCJW|MN we know it’s actually a verb. It’s something we do, something we build, and something we protect together.

When women lead, the results aren’t just seen in the boardroom or ballot boxes, they are felt in the well-being of our families, the strength of our schools, and the vibrancy of our neighborhoods. Come for breakfast, be in community, and discover how our collective action creates lasting change and helps our communities reach their full potential.

Register now for a morning of purpose, passion, and great coffee.

Tuesday May 12th
8-9:30 AM – Doors open at 7:30 AM

This winter, NCJW, Inc. was invited to join Jews for Freedom, a new coalition mobilizing American Jews to take meaningful action to block authoritarianism and protect the freedoms that keep us safe. NCJW, Inc. invited Sections to participate and, given the damage to democratic principles caused by Metro Surge in the Twin Cities, NCJW MN was quick to sign on.

And we begin by listening to you.

Why is Jews for Freedom launching a listening campaign?
You might be asking, “At this moment, when it feels like the world is on fire, why would we be planning to sit around and talk? Why not get out and do something?” This is a long fight, and we need to know what our NCJW MN members want and need.

While the Listening Campaign doesn’t preclude taking action in the short term, it’s designed to build the community we need for future actions. Emerging from this Listening Campaign with a collective narrative about what we care about, can agree on, and are willing to fight for is essential to mobilizing American, and specifically Minnesotan, Jews who care deeply about democracy and are looking for a path forward.

Our goals for holding these listening sessions are to:

• Share experiences and stories about how we and our families, friends, neighbors, and communities are directly impacted by the authoritarian policies of 2025/2026.
•  Identify the values that drive how we think about democracy.
•  Identify the types of actions that will mobilize our base and explore the obstacles that we will need to overcome.
• Commit to staying in conversation and working together toward a democratic future.

The results of our listening session will be presented at our May 12th annual breakfast fundraiser.

Registration for the listening sessions (held via Zoom) coming soon.
