On August 5, NCJW|MN will lead A Moral Response to an Immoral Budget: Jewish Day of Action. With members of Congress returning home for the annual August recess, we’re showing up – loudly and Jewishly – to demand funding that reflects our Jewish values and invests in the well-being of women, children, and families.
As the budget law is enacted, we will not stand by while millions of people go hungry or without healthcare.
The budget passed by Congress and signed by the President is a moral failure that betrays our values and abandons the most vulnerable among us. Instead of helping the millions of families in need across the country, our leaders have stripped resources from those with the least and handed them to those with the most – one of the most harmful wealth transfers in history.
We know that you, your family, your neighbors, and your community may rely on programs like Medicaid and federal food assistance gutted in the new budget. We want to hear from YOU about how your life and the lives of your loved ones are impacted. Please share your story with us.
