Federal Courts 101

1:00 pm — 2:00 pm

Zoom

We want courts that work for all of us. We will continue to fight for them. Corporate interests like health insurers, drug companies, and the gun industry – and their allies in the US Senate – have worked for years to stack the courts to ensure that they work for them, not for the rest of us. Many of you have engaged in the recent #OurCourt and lower court fights, and thanks to your efforts, we have energized and mobilized people like you who truly understand what is at stake.

This is why we are very excited to announce an upcoming Federal Courts 101 briefing co-hosted by The Leadership Conference Education Fund and National Council of Jewish Women, and sponsored by People For The American Way, the National Women’s Law Center, and other forthcoming organizations.

This training is intended for folks newer to this work. We will cover the state of the federal judiciary, an introduction to the judicial nominations process, and ways you can take action as an organization as a state or local-level organization.
