Snap Day of Action

On Tuesday, October 28th, we are calling for a day of action to urge our leaders to use every tool they have to ensure November SNAP benefits for the millions of people nationwide who need the program. We are imploring USDA to follow the law and deploy SNAP’s contingency funds to keep benefits flowing. Members of Congress must take urgent action to press USDA to do the right thing and avoid worsening America’s hunger crisis.

42 million Americans are at risk of losing SNAP benefits on November 1st. USDA has a contingency fund available and is refusing to release it. The Trump administration is playing politics with people’s basic needs, and families will go hungry because of it.

This is a critical moment to make a difference. Tell Congress and USDA to release contingency funds and guidance to states now to keep benefits flowing.
