Democracy is a Verb
Like many, we are very concerned about the erosion of democratic values and practices. As Jews, we know too well what can happen when democracy breaks down. But we are not powerless. And sharing our stories, our hopes, and our fears is the first step in building collective strength.
NOW is the time to take action to foster democracy. We’ve held Listening Sessions to better understand what ‘taking action’ could look like and what gets in the way of each of us doing what we
can to support democratic principles, practices, and institutions. There is no such thing as ‘big’ or ‘small’ actions; there is just doing.
We will post opportunities to get involved, share stories of our progress, announce webinars and lectures to attend, and highlight ‘calls to action’ against authoritarian attacks. At
NCJW|MN, we are choosing to live into our mission statement to safeguard individual rights and freedoms.
Join us in making democracy a verb.
